The deadline for the ongoing voter revision campaign for the UP Panchayat Election 2026 has been extended once again. All related proceedings, including the disposal of claims and objections, will now be completed by April 13, 2026, while the final voter list will be published on April 15, 2026. This is the second time the deadline has been extended, which could pose a challenge for the administration in conducting the elections on time and has also increased the possibility of the elections being postponed.

The State Election Commission released the preliminary revised voter list on December 18, 2025. This list included approximately 40.19 lakh new voters compared to the previous election. Following the release of the list, claims and objections were invited. After the hearing, the final list was scheduled to be released on February 6. This was first extended to March 28, and now the date has been extended for the second time.

State Election Commissioner R.P. According to Singh, after the claims and objections are resolved, handwritten manuscripts will be prepared, potential duplicate voters will be verified, and other documentation work will be completed. The supplementary lists will be computerized and integrated into the original list, and polling stations and locations will be determined.

February 21 – March 16

March 17 – April 13
Polling station numbering, ward mapping, voter numbering, state voter number allocation, and other technical work.

April 15, 2026
Publication of the final voter list.

Experts believe that delays in the process could impact the Panchayat election schedule.
